Hunger is often invisible, but its ache is felt deeply. In South Africa, 13 million people go to bed hungry every night, while 27% of children under the age of five suffer from stunting due to malnutrition. These numbers speak to a silent crisis unfolding in households across our country.

The Donate a Plate campaign was created by Ashraful Aid to break this silence.
For just R10, you can put food on a plate, easing this quiet suffering. For a child too weak to play, a plate of food means energy, laughter, and growth. For a parent who goes without so their children can eat, it means relief from the burden of impossible choices. For a community struggling against poverty, it is proof that compassion can triumph over despair.
Every donated plate is more than a meal. It is a symbol of love, dignity, and solidarity. It reminds people in need that they are not forgotten. That they matter.
