As part of Ashraful Aid’s extensive national food programme and our commitment to making a positive difference in our community, we have organized a special program for the day: the target is to pack 5,000 food parcels for the needy, providing meals for up to 20,000 individuals. These food parcels will be distributed to families in need focusing primarily on women, children and the elderly.
By participating in this event, your company and employees will have the opportunity to directly contribute towards addressing food insecurity and alleviating the suffering of many families in the country.
Mandela Day is not just a day of remembrance; it’s also a call to action to embody Madiba’s spirit of selflessness and compassion. This event is geared at uniting us as a community through tangible acts of service and generosity.
How can your company get involved?
- Financial Contributions: Your company can participate by contributing financially towards food parcels. The food parcels costs approximately R250.00 and feeds a family of four for three weeks. A contribution towards four hundred (400) or more food parcels, at a cost of R250.00 each, offers you branding on the food parcels and limited branding at the stadium, showcasing your commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. While a financial contribution is optional, we welcome and appreciate any donations towards our collective effort of improving lives.
- Employee Giving: This event is designed to encourage and celebrate employee involvement and will not be possible without the involvement of [insert company name] employees. By participating in the event, your employees will assist by packing essential food items, sourced by us, into branded bags.
The bags are distributed to families in need by Ashraful Aid after the event. This hands-on involvement fosters team spirit, a sense of fulfilment, and reinforces the values of compassion and social responsibility within your organisation.
As a token of our appreciation, all volunteers participating in the event will enjoy a complimentary light lunch prepared on-site by our in-house catering staff. Additionally, this year we are pleased to offer a VIP suite for C- suite and Executive management to relax in during breaks, providing a comfortable space to network and unwind.
Media will be present on the day and digital media feeds will capture the activities and highlight the collective efforts of participants.
Volunteers may also enjoy the opportunity to meet Lion Cricket’s management and players. We believe that by coming together as a community and working towards a common goal, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
