KZN assistance update

Ashraful Aid International recently completed a project in the Kwazulu-Natal region of
South Africa aimed at providing assistance to less privileged communities. The
Ashraful Aid team was joined by a group of donors and volunteers. The project
comprised three elements: distribution of Zakaat hampers, a tour of the Ashraful Aids
borehole site, and provision of a freshly prepared meal to a community.
The first component of the project was the distribution of 500 Zakaat hampers, which
contain essential items such as food, clothing, and other basic necessities. These
hampers were delivered to less privileged communities in Wyebank and Amouti,
providing vital support to those struggling to make ends meet.
The second component of the project was a tour of the Ashraful Aids borehole site at
the Siyajabula Children’s Centre in Molweni. This borehole site provides clean and
safe water to the community, which is essential for maintaining good health and
hygiene. The tour aimed to showcase to the donors and volunteers the
organization’s work, raise awareness of the importance of such projects as well as
the impact of their continued support of the organisation.
The final element of the project was the provision of a freshly prepared meal to a
community of approximately 230 individuals in the suburb of Clare Estate. This effort
was a compassionate initiative to provide basic sustenance to those in need and
ensure that they do not go hungry.

This project demonstrates Ashraful Aid International’s ongoing commitment
to improving the lives of those in need. The distribution of hampers, the tour of the
borehole site, and the provision of a meal are all crucial efforts in ensuring that less
privileged communities have access to basic necessities and are uplifted from
poverty. It’s heartening to see such work being done to alleviate suffering and uplift
communities, and we are proud to have played a part in this endeavor.
