Ashraful Aid, has embarked on a daily free food campaign for Covid-19 affected patients in the Lenasia and Lenasia South areas of Gauteng. The campaign aims to assist those who are unable to prepare meals while in quarantine and have no assistance or support during this time.
The Ashraful Aid team distributed a total of 180 food hampers in 3 areas in Soweto (Orlando East, Rockville and Dhlamini). With the current Covid19 crisis, and extremely cold winter, these hampers will go a long way in assisting the needy in South Africa.
Ashraful Aid would like to send a special thank you to the the SA Rugby Legends Association, Vodacom Bulls, the Cell C Sharks, the DHL Stormers, and the Emirates Lions, in partnership with Vodacom and Cell C donated grocery hampers worth R330 000 to Ashraful Aid and the Lizo Gqoboka Foundation. Freestate, N3 Southbound, — Engen Vaal 1- Stop saw many smiles as Ashraful Aid passed out free meals to truck drivers on Thursday from 17:00 to 21:00. 500 meals were pledged by the N3 Toll Concession and prepared and delivered by Ashraful Aid all the way from Marlboro.
