Over 1.2 million people including 540 000 children have been affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Ashraful Aid teams are on the ground providing humanitarian relief to those in need. So far, we have distributed 220 food packs and 241 hygiene kits. The total number of beneficiaries are 2766 people
Poverty affects thousands of Women and girls from purchasing basic hygiene essentials. This Women’s month Ashraful Aid embarked on raising funds and collecting items for the distribution of hygiene packs. The packs consisted of a branded bag filled with sanitary pads, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, body lotion and face masks.
Ashraful Aid embarked on several trips from Johannesburg to KZN providing much needed grocery items to those affected by the July unrest in KZN.
Distribution was divided into three phases.

At the 2020/21 CGL awards, we recognised Ashraful Aid, an International Humanitarian Organisation as the recipient of our prestigious Central Gauteng Lions Presidential Awards called ‘The Order of the Lion’. This award is in recognition of the exceptional services rendered to the development of cricket and contribution beyond cricket.
Ashraful Aid, has embarked on a daily free food campaign for Covid-19 affected patients in the Lenasia and Lenasia South areas of Gauteng. The campaign aims to assist those who are unable to prepare meals while in quarantine and have no assistance or support during this time.

Ashraful Aid and other organisations distributed Blankets, Groceries and hot meals to residents of Innesfree Park, Sandton
The Ashraful Aid team distributed a total of 180 food hampers in 3 areas in Soweto (Orlando East, Rockville and Dhlamini). With the current Covid19 crisis, and extremely cold winter, these hampers will go a long way in assisting the needy in South Africa.
As the suffering of the Palestinians continue, Ashraful Aid continues to provide ongoing humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine. We have strengthened our resolve at Ashraful Aid to increase our support to meet the immense need for humanitarian aid in this region.
