Concerned with the rapid deterioration of some roads,
Azaadville’s ward 3 councillor Shabier Dabheliah
approached Ashraful Aid for assistance. This was a very
uncommon request but Moulana Ahmed Namutamba
from Ashraful Aid’s Azaadville branch saw the urgent
need required and arranged for the streets to be
repaired on Tajmahal, Badshani and near the shopping
centre in Azaadville.
With the assistance of a private donor we are building
two public toilets behind the post office. The initiative is
aimed to allow for more toilets in the vicinity of the grant
and pension collection points and to avoid for the elderly
and the physically challenged waiting in long queues.
