Vocational Training for Syrian Refugees
Ashraful Aid's Vocational Training Centre at Sianliurfa, Urfa, an area of Turkey that has over 500,000 Syrian refugees and 21000 orphans currently provides various skills to enable refugees to start their own businesses or gain employment so that they can become financially independent.
Approximately 400 people pass through this center during a year-long cycle, for various vocational skills that are in demand in the city and easy to set up and start earning - barber, electrician, mobile phone repairs, computer skills, first aid, electronics, sewing, and language (Turkish).
Even for Women this opens up new opportunities, as one person explained to Ashraful Aid during a field visit in March 2022, that by being able to sew she is able to work independently from home and earn an income while looking after her family.
You can assist by Sponsoring a Student for only ZAR3,500 per year.
