AG Emergency Relief – May 2024 Floods
Flash floods caused by heavy rains have devastated villages in northern Afghanistan, killing over 300 people and injuring more than 1,600. Thousands of homes have been damaged and livestock (a key source of income) wiped out with substantial damage to health care facilities and vital infrastructure, such as water supply, with streets left coated in mud. Our teams have mobilized and are working to get emergency aid in the form of basic supplies, food stuff, clothing and shelter.
